Chinese Carved Dragon Settle

A stunning, richly carved and pierced hardwood bench / box settle, featuring a stand out dragon relief decoration backrest, flanked by carved dragon-headed armrests. The hinged lidded seat opens to reveal a handy storage space  beneath. The whole piece has a wonderful patina. The bench has been cleaned and waxed ready to use in your home.

Overall in great used condition with a lovely patina especially to the seat. There is a small loss to the 3rd dragons tail along the bottom box relief. There are historical repairs to the arms and to the right edge of the seat, please see pictures. Overall an outstanding bench in good antique condition.
